A bill filed this week by Rep. Byron Donalds of Naples would allow two members of any board or commission with five or more members to meet in private to discuss business and policy issues before their board.
The idea for HB 843 came from attending a legislative training session in the fall when Donalds learned the Legislature operates by different rules than local public officials, the freshman Republican lawmaker said by phone Thursday.
