TCPalm: How will Martin commission candidates tackle our biggest challenges?

But Martin County's always on the brink, isn't it?

With blue-green algae periodically choking our waterways and the specter of South Florida overdevelopment ever present, Martin County's quality of life seems under perpetual threat. Budgetary pressures are mounting. Several former and past county commissioners have been charged with alleged public records violations, shaking public trust.

The county ought to have a bright future if we handle these challenges.

And that's where you come in.

On Tuesday, Treasure Coast Newspapers/TCPalm will host a county commission candidates' forum, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Ground Floor Farm in Stuart. Six candidates for seats in two districts will answer questions from the Treasure Coast Newspapers Editorial Board — and you, the audience.
